Moving to D.C. impacted more than just my location – it also made me realize the affect growing up around the outdoors had had on me.
The smell of a freshly cut lawn could make me stop in my tracks. Camping in camp sites in Shenandoah National Park became a favorite pastime, replacing the camping we used to do in more secluded areas of a national forest.
D.C. brought out the outdoor enthusiast in me. And it was this that brought me to co-founding a new blog, Camo is the New Black, to help encourage more women to get out and enjoy the outdoors.
Check out my first blog post: Outdoorsy Pride.
